The Board of Sutherland Health Group announces today a trading update for the 12 months to 31 March 2012.

The Board of Sutherland Health Group, a national supplier of patient hygiene, sexual health and gynaecology products to customers including the National Health Service ("NHS" announces today a trading update for the 12 months to 31 March 2012.

Unaudited management accounts for the period shows a growth in turnover of 22.8% to £902,173 compared with £734,937 for the same period last year. This has resulted in a profit of £15,200 compared with a loss of £60,024 for the comparable period of the previous year. The company has experienced positive trading during the last few months of its financial year, and subject to audit expects the return to profitability to be maintained.

During the current year the Company has continued to develop relationships with key pharmaceutical distributors such as Phoenix, Alliance and AAH which has resulted in increased acceptance of new products that have been introduced during the year. The Company has also seen increased activity with Amazon resulting in a growing presence in the retail market place. The company also continues to maintain a strong relationship with the NHS.

Chairman John French commented: "We are very pleased at the Company’s encouraging performance and return to profitability, reflecting the commitment and decisions taken by the Board to broaden our product and customer base and seek additional opportunities to take the Company forward. We expect the final audited accounts to maintain a profitable position at the year-end, leading to a positive start to the new financial year."
